Tim Laffey’s primary influence has been that of the painters. He admires their observations on how light plays in our visible world, along with an understanding of light and shade. His work is both impressionist and spiritual in nature and he is seeking to transcend the image as a photo into something broader, an exploration of light and atmosphere.
